Pretty sure Gaga said they both came to a compromise meaning Perfect Illusion wasn't either of their first choices.

They may have wanted A-YO but she may have wanted a slower track, they compromised and agreed on Perfect Illusion.

We can, but 3 songs I've heard threw me out of PI train already

I'm still on PI train. :emma:

They can't scare me, if I scare them first.

PI is repetitive and easier for people to remember the lyrics to

But people don't bother to listen it again because there is only one melody in one whole song. "It wasn't love, It was a perfect illusion"

Because AYO isn't as good as Perfect Illusion. Some as that.

See a nearby Otorhinolaryngologist honey.

Interscope clearly doesn't understand how to handle an artist like Gaga. They are afraid to take risks, which is ironic (and detrimental) considering Gaga is the biggest risk taker in the game. They consistently choose singles that are similar in production/chorus/tempo to her earlier hits (Judas, Applause, Perfect Illusion) instead of the songs that are amazing but a little more left field or not what they consider to be "Gaga" hit (Scheibe, Sexxx Dreams, A-Yo)

EDIT: I love Perfect Illusion, but I think A-Yo is just as good, a little more accessible, and much more representative of the tone/genre of the album (which is important for a LEAD single)

Not true. Gaga specifically said the label themselves chose PI.

"The single was chosen by the record label and a lot of people that work with me. We all decided as a team and together that we liked it as the first song."

A-Yo is great but PI was the right choice.

She said that She, Haus and Interscope together agreed on PI being first single.

Honestly, PI still seems like a tester to me... I feel as if A-yo will be saved for later

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

Disagree, not a fan of the "A-Yo, A-Yo" part, I feel like it can annoy people. I also dislike that as the name of the song. Something about it bothers me.

Million Reasons deserves to be a full-fledged single over both of these, which I think it will be.
