Quartz 12,534
I cried for totally different reasons when listening to this masterpiece. I realized that I don't have that kind of passion for anyone or anything the way she sings it. That something in our lives that we love so much that we continue loving it even when it's not convenient for us. I imagined my friend back then and his mom who had cancer who is now dead. He was so hard up in taking care of his mom on her latter days that he sometimes delayed going home because the stress and pain of the work of caring for her was too much. He always felt guilty for skirting his share of taking care of his mom even after her death but I knew he did his best. He had a million reasons to leave, to rebel or even neglect his mom but only one good one to stay, and that was because she was his mother. Gaga also has the same sentiment for her music and her fans. She loves us and she knows she is a beacon of light to us. She knows she is a genuine influence to some of our lives and she uses that influence to translate messages of self empowerment and positivity. There are a million reasons for her to leave us like just do jazz or concentrate on acting but she had one good reason; she loves us and the music. This is the only time that when I say I'm thankful for Gaga, I one hundred percent mean it. I love her and her contribution to my life. She made me embrace my physical flaws back in college and almost nothing about my body bothers me. And now, this song just saved me when I needed saving the most. I am currently in limbo in life, 2 years after graduating from the best university in my country but can't nail a job I like. This song made me realize that I needed a direction in my life. A passion that even if the whole world is against me doing it, I would still do it because I love the work and the result it puts out to the world. I want to help others so I will focus all my efforts from now on to better the lives of people who need it most. From my corporate past job background, I will look for foundations and charities and dedicate my life to the cause. I took my course (Business Administration) because I wanted to be rich. That wasn't a goal nor a passion. Helping others, that's legitimately my passion. I don't have that fire and it's not too late for me. Gaga literally helped me pick my destiny and I am absolutely grateful. If you know your passion, do it. Don't think about money or anything else. The only thing you need to know in yourself is if there are a million reasons to leave, will you stay just for one? We always say music not the bling, these realizations made me realize that music is life and our purpose and the bling is money and "success". I'm sorry for the novela, I just had a lot of epiphanies and I thought I wanted to put it out there. I don't care if this won't be a popular post, as long as it has the possibility of affecting someone who might be going through a similar experience, then I'm good. Lastly, I love you Gaga. Please continue making art and light. <3 Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

YeehawKylie 7,817
It's so beautiful. I was hesitant about Gaga working with Hillary Lindsay, but after this song I hope she collaborates with her more. They created such a perfect song.

Letmelivemylife 8,715
Exactly. I had a million reasons to let go during those super dark times in my life but gaga/monsters gave me a million reasons to stay. Gaga knows who her true monsters are and she'll love us with every cell in her body until her last breath. Nobody can even begin to understand the strength and fierceness of her love for us. It's a love so strong and fierce that it crushes any negativity in its path. It's a love so strong and fierce that when somebody hurts us, it hurts her a 1,000x more I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Quasi 10,923
MR made me cry for my own reasons too , which I haven't really done with any Gaga song. There's something about the lyrics coming directly from her, that makes me feel something. Especially the last line of the chorus "I got a hundred million reasons to walk away, but baby I just need one good one to stay".If any other person sang this, I might not feel have felt the same way. It HAD to come from her. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

Haters will hate all they like but I am so excited for Joanne and the emotional rollercoaster we will all ride Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
