to me it's not about genre, it's more about the quality of music and the songwriting, vocal delivery and emotions which Million Reasons excelled in all departments and i actually think her vocals here are so much more raw and compelling than other artists who are known for their ballads like Adele.

I'll leave them be, they don't understand what I feel and never will. I'll find someone who feel the same and discuss them privately rather than keep the aggression going and lead to nowhere, it is wasting energy and time. That way, I can express what I feel with who actually listening, and feel the same while letting people who enjoy new music be happy.

It's not a matter of her working in different genres other than EDM/dance-pop. That's not even what I (and plenty of others I'm sure) even listen to.

I was excited for a stripped back personal singer-songwriter era but so far Gaga just isn't delivering. 

I'lI stick with Sharon Van Etten while she goes back to school and keep my ears perched for a new Lana Del Rey and Fiona Apple record.

 

That's not even the issue, it's about why people always call others as delusional when some people can genuinely enjoy something new.

That's not even the issue, it's about why people always call others as delusional when some people can genuinely enjoy something new.

But saying you like the song doesn't lead anywhere either. It's just an opinion. That's it, lol. It may be more positive, but that doesn't mean it's any more useful than an opinion about not liking it. I've been very clear and direct in my criticisms and I'm still quite open to the album itself/studio versions.

I read them alright, it just a question, cos people often end up using this kind of line to call other people out.

As for your entry, I don't think we should take one song and another as the same thing.

People who enjoy Rap can dislike another rap track, and this is just the same issue.

The artistry that Gaga or Adele did are not similar to what Niall did, it might sounds the same but dig deeper.

And I don't think I'm biased coz I hated Dope, TIHTY(sorry), Brown Eyes/Again Again and all her jazz stuff. Like, these are also slow songs with her great voice...but it's not my cup of tea.

I agree. Million Reasons sounds a lot like a Carrie Underwood song (the Hillary Lindsey influence is strong in it), but not many people here stan for her.
