How many times does it have to be said?

How many times does it have to be said that Joanne is a different more organic type of pop music. This album won't be anything like her previous albums but many here are still in denial. Also just because you don't like the genres Gaga is going for it doesn't mean that the songs are bad. In my opinion, all the songs that Gaga has shown us are actually great songs (Million Reasons is her best ballad). By this time is kind of pointless to complain about Joanne's sound because you know very well that the album will have more organic songs like a Million Reasons. Finally Joanne is still POP MUSIC. Many here think pop music consist of the electronic dance or trap stuff always plays in the radio but pop is a broad genre. The essence of all the songs Gaga has previewed so far are all pop.

Gaga trying to break into every single genre comes off as kind of pretentious imo. IDK, it's just not her shtick. Also, the "call me Joanne" bullshit is kind of off. What the hell. It's just so messy. :cryga:

Edit: I'm okay with some rock and country INFLUENCES but going on full country (like on Million Reasons) just puts me off.

What I don't understand is for those who don't like her new direction, what direction was she supposed to go in?

So her exploring all kinds of music is being pretentious? Making the music she wants is being pretentious? She has always tried all kinds of genres. You don't know Gaga very well.

YES. And I actually genuinely like every song so far from Joanne. No I'm not in some delusional "trance".

Sorry for not sharing the same negative opinions as some of you on here :golfclap:

Disco-pop fusion with funk and rock. Giorgio Moroder, RedOne, Daft Punk, Nile Rodgers.

Think "Miss You" by The Rolling Stones, a little bit of Kylie and Moroder's new stuff, Get Lucky, etc. A mix of disco throughout the eras with a catchy Gaga twist. Fresh, new for Gaga, with the times, appealing to the general public and consistent.

i don't get it. She has been there, and done that. She mastered pop music. After Bad Romance there's no way to go but down. It's literally perfection. I'm glad she's exploring new directions; which doesn't have nothing to do with being pretentious. She has enough talent to compose all types of music (and it's ok if u don't like it).

She should stick to one profitable sound and make that type of music forever? Hello, Katy Perry?

NO, THANKS. I'm glad she's taking risks, and i'm ready to enjoy new music.

Girl…

Can this illogical defending of Gaga's music please stop tbh . Pop and Country don't mix. Of course people here will hate it. Y'all NEED some sense.
