You are also buying into the assumption that because a woman dresses in a particular way she is using her body as a tool for some purpose.  Gaga may also just be unencumbered by the usual constraints and wears stuff because she wants a particular fashion statement. I don't disagree that in the real world women are sexually objectified more frequently than men, but in regards to public figures, specifically pop stars, the objectification is equal.

I'm not buying into any assumptions, if your music video features close ups of your crotch while you are gyrating your hips in nearly non-existent jean shorts while rubbing your thigh you are using your sexuality to sell your music. Which is totally fine.
