Even when you factor in the high suicide rate, hate crimes (like the Orlando massacre), and violence against trans women of color, the amount of people dying from LGBT related issues isn't even slightly comparable the numbers of people dying because of America's foreign policy positions. That is the point he was attempting to make.

Whilst Trump may not be progressive regarding LGBT rights, he certainly seems as if he's accepting / stagnant. Whilst I can't see much changing for the "better" regarding LGBT rights under him, I also don't see them getting worse.

I personally wouldn't vote for him but I don't think LGBT rights (improving or destroying) are on his agenda so I can see why members of the LGBT community feel comfortable voting for him.

They are actually on total opposite ends of the political spectrum. Lucian was a Sanders supporter and will now be voting for Stein in the general election. Caitlyn Jenner supported Ted Cruz in the primary and will be voting Republican in the general election.

But I guess it's easier to just put everyone who disagrees with you in that disgusting "basket of deplorables" category.

If violence and discrimination against a tiny portion of our countries population is a greater priority to you than the lives of thousands/millions in the Middle East than you are the privileged white gay, not him.
