She has a niche to fill and it's quality weird pop music. 2) You can't use "she doesn't care about charts" as an excuse when she flops because she said in an interview today that she wants to write hits. It's Gaga for god's sake, She wrote most of the best songs of all time regardless the genre. We should be so hyped but I'm feeling nothing and not even counting the days til the album release. Lastly, nowhere in the original post did I say we should force ourselves to like it--just that give the album a try with an open mind, without prejudice. Some of Gaga's performances/eras are such a long time ago now they are quite nostalgic and it's so easy to cling to them. Interesting, if you compare her to Bowie than TF/M + BTW was her Ziggy Stardust + Aladdin Sane era: The super iconic imperial phase where they were playing a character. Then ARTPOP was Diamond Dogs: A disappointing album and the end of the Lady Gaga/Ziggy Stardust character. So now Joanne would be her Young Americans which makes fits since it's going to be a more acoustic album with Americana and Folk influence. Like Young Americans it probably won't be one of her best albums but much better than the preceding album.
