Daenerys

Does anyone else do the whole House Bunny exorcist voice when they say Joanne? No? It's just me then? :sharon:

Yeah, I just have a hard time understanding the whole thing at the moment. I'm hoping the album clears it up. I just can't understand why she and her family laud Joanne as some Christ-like figure. Like, it's sad that she died young, but I don't get why Gaga is so emotionally attached to someone she never met.

From my perspective, I think this album is Gaga's desperate plea for approval from her dad. She already admitted she has daddy issues (God knows why - they seem extremely close), so it would make sense that Joanne is her way of finding an emotional connection to her father. In that respect, I love the idea of the album, but I just wish Gaga would stop with these overblown statements about a dead relative. It's just weird and unrelatable.

I don't think they are trying to make her out as a Christ like figure. When someone is lost in a very tragic way it can scar a family for generations and people grow up with that grief/mourning
