[URGENT] Putin's ultimatum

Vladimir Putin signed a decree on termination of the agreement with the United States for the disposal of weapons-grade plutonium. To restore the agreement, he demanded that the US lifting of sanctions and compensation of losses.

He demands repealing of Sergei Magnitsky law, cancel all sanctions against Russia, as well as compensate for the losses of Russia from these sanctions, including "loss from the introduction of forced sanctions against the United States of America." Under these conditions, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, may renew the agreement between Russia and the US on Plutonium Disposition, that as terminated in Moscow on 3rd of October.

Putin is blackmailing USA so they will lift their sanctions on Russia, with plutonium. Out of all plutonium that was to be utilized under this contract, Russia can make 17000 nuclear warheads. So, he basically says, you lift sanctions and give us money, because sanctions were unfair, or we won't stop making nuclear weapons

Impossible for US to accepts these terms though. I think Putin only tries to start the discussion on lifting of sanctions.

I do not think that Putin expects US to actually pay for Russia's economic losses in anyways. Still asking for it is probably something Putin can advertise to his uneducated voter base in Russia saying that you see we demand stuff from americans.

Ridiculous. You realize that Obama is killing his economy while Putin only plays to audiences right ? Plus, Russia always ranks as the worst country of Europe in terms of personal liberties and democracy fundamentals. Example:

Then Ronald Raegan should not be that good of a president. Obama economically isolated Russia that Putin has no chance but try to open up discussions about lifting of sanctions... US could have never economically isolated Russia before.

Ronald Raegan was a tough man, he made the Middle East lift the gas sanctions form us very quickly, something Jimmy Carter was to scared to do. Putin would fear Raegan because he was one tough man, not one country would threaten or try to screw America. Raegan won 95% of the popular vote and won 48/50 states electorally.
