Fade is a bigger flop than PI

Fade was meant to be a hit and is a MAJOR bop he wouldn't have premiered it at the VMAs otherwise

saddens me these songs don't get any love and the only songs that have been getting in the top 10 for the past year and a half have been mindless songs with generic beat drops

Kanye's "Fade" is one of the greatest bops of 2016. It's literally everything to me. As is Gaga's "Perfect Illusion."

The rest of you can keep your Chainsmokers feat. Halsey VMA's performance and Nick Jonas "Bacon" BS. The legends, meanwhile, are busy doing next level ****. You all will realize it in a couple years.

:madge:

You've got such a heart, I admire it even when we don't agree. We actually do agree on this one though. PI isn't my favorite Gaga song of all time or anything, but musically it is miles ahead of what we are getting from most of the top ten right now. That isn't always the case, but right now, for sure.

As for Kanye, if he could just be a slightly more likable person, that would be nice. Because you can hardly see his genius over his giant head. Otherwise, I will agree he is indeed a popstar, always really has been, and continues to make stellar music that is underappreciated, even though I only respect him as an artist.

You guys are missing the point...We all endured 2 months of nonstop posts here from you lot begging for Gaga to do a VMA's performance and claiming that she would be "foolish" to skip it.

And she skipped it.

And PI flopped and you said it's because she was a fool for skipping VMA's.

But here stands her contemporary, Kanye. The undisputed pop music LEGEND of our time. Who DID do the VMA's this year. With a ****ing house music bop that SLAYS!!!! With a hot ass bitch in the video. They gave us our f-cking LIVES with this single!

And he's got a bigger flop on his hands than Gaga.

This is my point: Little Manager's and their tired beliefs about what is good promo vs. poor promo is no longer relevant. We are living in a new age.

The legends aren't here for Billboard charts, cable award show ratings and radio airplay anymore. They have ascended to the next level.

The game is being won in different fields.

This. ALL OF THIS!

Just because the masses are drawn to what is the current taste in music doesn't mean that music produced by others that doesn't have the same sound is any less amazing.

Gaga's commercial success has nothing to do with my anticipation for her next work.

Kanye's "Fade" is a much bigger flop than "Perfect Illusion." And it is probably the most brilliant song/video I've seen in the last year. And Kanye is undisputedly the most respected music artist of the last 5 years.

It's not opinion, but a fact.

These 2 songs have been on the charts nearly the same amount of time. And Kanye secured that oh-so-coveted VMA's promo slot that so many of you had your dicks hard over for months.

Yet he's doing worse than she is. (with a better song, if you ask me! just saying!)

....please don't get me wrong. This is not a Kanye vs. Gaga post. This post is meant to show that 2 of the greatest pop music LEGENDS of our time are not necessarily chart hits. But it DOES NOT MATTER. This just shows how irrelevant Billboard charts and radio airplay have become in today's pop cultural landscape.

Chainsmokers have been stuck at #1 for weeks and Justin Bieber has 2 throw-away tropical house songs in the Top 5, all of which will be completely forgotten and cringeworthy 18 months from now.

I would easily chose to be outside the Top 40 with Kanye and Gaga right now, than in the Top 5 with Chainsmokers and Bieber.

Like --- it's no question.

At your parties, you are going to listen to those Justin's songs 1652 months after. Stop calling them forgettable. Sorry, Love Yourself, Major's Lean On are still played almost everywhere, at radio, at all the parties, in every single country. They are not at all forgettable, you just can't deny them. On the other hand, if those songs are fortettable, what will happen to PI, which almost nobody but our fanbanse stans to it?

On the other hand, you and a lot of other people say that the charts are no longer relevant, but almost all of you are thirsty to throw shade at other artists who are at the top, you make their songs irrelevat or who-knows how or you look for reasons to say that a songs is a bigger flop than PI. People, just admit it, if Gaga had had success with PI all of you would have been obsessee with the charts, but now you're looking for reasons to call them irrelevant. I'm sick of this attitude. I hope A-yo will be a great song which can also perform in the charts. I will see then a lot of people praising all the charts. Why? Because Gaga is doing good on them

And, you know who is actually irrelevant in all of these? You, the people who mock them. They are getting a lot of new fans, they help people having fun, they are making music which is enjoyed by the people around the world, while you stay here and throw shade at them. I would have liked you not to treat any kind of music like this, it's music, it's about having fun and forget the real problems.

PI is Gaga's first song after 3 years in the pop wilderness. And she's done next to no promo. So I think the song is doing quite well to be fair.

If the song had been good, it would have broken everything. She's Gaga.

Uh no, Fade has been out since February :toofunny: It was Tidal exclusive for months and the video was also Tidal exclusive for two weeks. The song is way more popular.

Exactly. And that's why I understand why you're being so hard on her. And Perfect Illusion is an amazing track. I feel sorry for people who can't hear how good it is.

Lol what a stupid excuse. This is Lady ****ing Gaga you're talking about. One of the most popular popstars of this generation. If she released an undeniable bop and mv it would have broken records. Epecially considering this is her first pop record in 3 years.

Ignore him. He's been spreading his dislike for "Perfect Illusion" in every single thread. You can't convince him to not stop spreading negativity regarding the song in this forum. Let him do his thing. You're way wiser. If you dislike a song, you mention it once, twice, thrice, but not in every single thread. :air:

I know I'm wiser. I just wanted to hear more of his ... you know.

Deep down in my heart, I really want them to takedown the current trends (these tropical s***),  bring back the 80s,  and change the landscape :/

All I hear in the radio right now is that electro tropicalish lean on feat Justin bieber under the coconut tree on the rover twerking while have no money. And not just radio, snapchat too :excuseu:

Yes at first it's cute and catchy. I enjoyed it. But with lot of songs now is like that it's kinda boring.

And right now that kind of music ain't saturated yet.

So ya, maybe I should stay away from top 40 to get refreshed :interestinga:

And ya. I agree with u

I said undeniable. AKA a song that isn't polarizing like PI and loved by the majority. Is Applause not a bop? DWUW? Telephone? Don't play dumb sis.
