I think it's better than pretending everything is okay and putting up a fake happy façade and worst of all, having to deal with people harrassing them with questions and rumours everywhere. At least now they know. 

And I really do believe her when she says she's disgusted already by the things people are gonna say about her, but she had to let her fans know why she'll be taking a hiatus from the internet. Think of it as someone taking a month off work without even telling their boss (a.k.a, the people who are paying them for their work, a.k.a the fans).

Yeah I see the concept of vlogging to be quite weird. Especially around relationships. So many breakups due to the fact that they feel the need to keep up an image of a perfect relationship for the camera. Honestly, Perfect Illusion is about this very thing with fame and popularity.

MTE. This made me wonder yet again why so many people on YT choose to share so much of their private life. Poor girl is devastated and has to sit in front of a fking camera and talk about such a private, heartbreaking moment in her life, when is really the last thing she wanted to do probably. I'm sorry for her but this whole thing about youtubers sharing (and monetizing) every single fart in their life is getting quite pathetic.
