To me, she's a beautiful person and an incredible artist. Some may say you're being delusional in feeling that way but I think Gaga herself would be touched that she managed to change your life in a positive way. You're right, fans certainly are not entitled to being brought backstage, receiving pizza and other goodies outside her hotels, posing with her for selfies or videos with them, they are not entitled to album art or tracklist reveals ahead of time, and they certainly are not entitled to a listening party and intimate audience with her. But Gaga does all this for fans, gives so much. She does all this and much more for her fans because her love for them is genuine. It comes from a real place. I'm not saying nobody else is like that, I'm just saying that with other popstars, the relationship seems forced whereas with Gaga, it feels natural and authentic, to me at least. I've gotten my head ripped off and been called delusional because I refer to her as "mom". The thing is, she is like a surrogate mom to me. She did things that my own bio mom was incapable of I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Hyoha 1,613
I always defend her when people say stuff like "she has lifted from Madonna's entire career". I feel like it's just wrong to talk about Gaga like that. They clearly don't know her songs, don't know what she stands for or what kind of artist she really is. I've never told anyone about this, not even on this forum or anywhere on the internet but I kind of owe my life to Gaga. I say "kind of" because I have the privilege of having good parents who understand and help me. But I am positive that she has something to do with the fact that I am still alive. Sexuality wasn't a problem for me. I'm a male who has always liked girls and had not much interest in boys, I consider myself to be 99% heterosexual (I know, that's kinda rare in here lol). My problem was being bullied constantly by my older brother and by my classmates because of my body type. I used to be really obese and felt like I deserved to be treated like a sub-human. I was convinced that I was utterly worthless and for eight years, more or less, I thought about killing myself every single day. Two months before I turned 18, I saw Gaga's live performance at the 2009 AMA's. I immediately fell in love with her. I bought a keyboard and Speechless was the first song I learned to play by ear. I always loved to sing and, to be quite honest, I do have a good voice, but I never felt like I could stand on a stage and sing. When I saw her and felt her pain in that song, I related instantly to it. Suddenly, I started obsessing about her and studying music just so I could play her songs as well as I could. In 2011, when Born This Way came out and she stood publicly against bullying, she gave me so much strength. I felt like I could fight for myself, become a better person, find peace in my life for once. For a whole year since the day the album was released I worked out listening to all 17 tracks. I weighed 133kg before that (290ish lbs), then lost 41kg in 12 months because Gaga gave me the energy through her songs, her attitude, her message and her love. Flash-forward to this day and I'm almost 55kg lighter, engaged and working on my music. I can say that I'm happy. I dig her new sound and will always root for her success but most importantly for her personal well-being and happiness because what she did to me and for me literally changed my life. It's very real and we all seem to share that same sentiment that she's like a motherly figure to us. She's a light in the darkness, and that's why no matter what kind of music she releases or her place in the entertainment industry, there's something about her that I keep going back to depend on. Just the mere sight of her is comforting and reassuring. When someone insults her, I feel vulnerable because they're denouncing a huge part of my life in front of my eyes. *starts ugly crying* Exactly. I love you monsters. I judge people who wait outside hotels/apartments for anyone BUT Lady Gaga!! Honestly! I seriously judge them. Like... what do you stan about them? Do they push the artistic boundaries? Does their art advance your personal political status as a minority? Do they inspire you to be a more creative person becuase of their excessive creative output? I honestly judge folks who stan for basic celebs like Angelina Jolie, Ariana Grande, Drake, Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence, etc... because they offer NOTHING to their fans. Absolutely NOTHING. Gaga, on the other hand, offers nothing but inspiration. So yes, I understand. I totally judge stans who stalk these basic celebs. But I also understand why its different for those of us who stan Gaga. Because she actually offers us a deeper meaning to our lives through her art. Call me crazy, but I believe it. Angelina Jolie is basic? Wow... She is now quite respected at the UN and one of their main faces in the world. Is that basic? Such high standard you have... It isn't for them to decide whether or not it's delusional. It's so easy for other people to throw your relationship with Gaga under the bus because they don't know what you are going through, and I think it is wrong. And to be totally fair, it's not unwarranted, Gaga has been motherly throughout her whole career, it's not unheard of that she is a surrogate mother to a lot of people. Adoremus in caelum, Palutena.
