Don't make up ur own abbreviations.

Well SJW is technically an initialism if you're being pedantic, but I guess abbreviation works too, GG.

Now ur stalking me? At least I'm upfront. Calling someone a brainiac isn't an insult either. He called me ignorant tho so he should be the one getting "called out" as you like to call it. Mind ur business

You need to grow up a little, and realize everything in the world isn't as black and white as you would like it to be. When they call you a crazed tumblr blogger, it is because you choose to see things from a point of view with literally no mercy or compassion and point your scope at the farthest thing from the core of what you wish to counteract. Frankly I find your praising of "deeper thinking" and all, a rather rude attempt to tell people they are ignorant, or talk down to them because of your intelligence, but in all honestly I find your view of things kind of shallow and without much substance.

Gaga clearly sees boundaries in society, and much of the time works to knock them down, but she also has experience in the real world, thoughts on tradition, and a point of view you could hardly understand since you aren't (assumed so) in the same business as her. She has fought heteronormativity in nearly every regard, made songs about such things at every chance, and thrown out the feminist agenda as unequal, but she also lives and works with great compassion and empathy of others, and she is sensitive to that. Reading your analysis, it seems more like you were looking for things to pick out rather than listening to all the parts of it.

Mark and Joe are older than her, both from times of a bit more tradition, and of a more classical (not necessarily positively so) thought on gender, and she was empathizing with them and showing them some respect by not trying to act as if their reactions were anything but what they were. They both cried, she said, and Mark acted in a way of sparing her father's feelings knowing how emotional he would get. Joe was crying, but she also said he looked at her with a new kind of light on how she can connect with others through music, and indeed her own father who she is close to, but perhaps isn't as much alike as she could be. Of this whole interview, this was the most profound part, and your attempts to overshadow that with a short-sighted view of the way she speaks, can hardly match the kind of emotional and inspiring experience she chose to share. So I would ask you to kindly keep your views to yourself, and not judge people you couldn't ever clarify details with, before going on the attack.

I only shared them because you felt so compelled to make a thread about yours. Otherwise, I would have never bothered to make a statement on something I find much more obvious than the thin view of her "gender attacks".

These ideas are already confirmed scientifically but I do agree that we should not treat people based on their gender and treat them as individuals meaning just because it is scientifically proven that women are made to be  a certain way, doesnt mean all of them are that way and even if they are, we should allow women to do and be whatever they want to be and not judge them for it.

Yes society does effect the genders like how men and women are linked to certain colors for example but there is other factors that society has nothing to do with like how women release a hormone after she gives birth that allows her to easily read peoples face without them talking so she can know what her baby is telling her. No matter what you say, science is not yet on your side and if you dont admit to science, you are just like republicans that believe global warming is not a real thing and trust me they have their evidence just like you have yours.

Trans people do change to a specific genders.. alot of them say I feel like I was born a man/woman my whole life even though society and family treated them as women/man their whole life! Also, if gender and all that is social construct, why do Gay people such as myself cant have sex with women? I am 100% Gay I could never have sex with a woman and just the thought of that grosses me out. I dont know how a belief that Native Americans had hundred of years ago makes something a fact.

Im not white so I dont have a victim complex about being white.

Not sure what you mean here... The people who study human culture, gender, society, "nature vs nurture", human history, are the "science" that informs my statement. Gender as we often think of it is a social construct that is distinct from Biological Sex. There is also gender identity. None of those categories are binaries, hell, they aren't even linear spectrums because of the vast amount of nuance capable in both (especially Gender). Bringing up the fact that human beings as a species have always recognized subtly the malleable state of gender (as well as the existence of more genders than male/female) was just me providing I think pretty compelling evidence that this isnt some "new Tumblr SJW PC" fad or whatever :laughga:

Also, again, gender is a social construct. Things like being a provider, wanting to do construction, liking blue, cars, tools, and being "masculine" are not innate traits that are directly 1-1 linked to being born with XY chromosomes (especially since biological sex is also a spectrum! People can have a combination of chromosonal expressions that do not match what their gender "should" be according to society. This is usually called "Intersex" and it can't be ignored. On top of that, there are lots of factors that can alter traits in "men" and "women" regardless of their chromosomes

My point in saying this is that Trans people do not merely transition so that they can "properly" express these gendered traits. Some people assigned female at birth transition to "male" and do NOT express themselves as masculine. Likewise in reverse. It is definitely about feeling comfortable in ones own skin and possibly (but its not required) wanting others to see you how you see yourself. It is not about changing "genders" in the sense that our definition of gender is not an absolute concept. Trans women do not have "man" as a gender then have "woman" as a gender after transitioning, they were always "women". This confusion is again because most people incorrectly conflate gender (and gender identity) and sex as being the same thing. They aren't.

Also, I know you aren't white :emma:

Please learn what misogyny is.

A misogynist is a person who hates or doesn't trust women.

I googled it quickly, and this was the result. Did I use it wrongly? I thought you wanted to say that misogyny can only be used to describe men but apparently it's not?
