It ended her world domination stage but she still went on to become a respected and evolving artist. They label a musician as a popstar, rockstar, whatevstar and when they try to do something slightly different (see Madonna's American Life) they're not able to embrace it with enthusiasm and muturity. JOANNE will not get high numbers unless it's mindblowing on a whole new level and the sooner we make pace with this reality the lesser peeps we're gonna want to murder when this ERA fails to take flight.
