Most of her music is pretty well produced but I think there are a few of her songs that I detest the production of.

After having heard paparazzi live, I don't like the studio version as much.

Because the songs were catchy, if a song is a hit that doesnt mean that it is high quality or that the production is good, just listen to the instrumentals alone

Scheibe instrumental shits on this

I think thats mixing...

I agree with ARTPOP, that song is mesmerizing.

but mixing is literally what makes the production... otherwise it's just tracks stapled on eachother

The person who produces a song does a rough mix, they never staple tracks and send it off. You wouldn't be able to concentrate on your own production if you didn't mix it a bit yourself, just look at the vid of Gaga and Darkchild in the studio, they're layering tracks but you hear they've done slight mixing on their own to make it easier for both themselves and for the person who'll mix it professionally later on.

I've studied music production for years, and now teach it at my own school so I'm not speaking out of my ass here.

I get your point, but I think this major producers, like RedOne do their own mixing, like they do the whole thing...
