He raised the debt to 19 Trillion, sent $400 million to Iran, the average family income has fallen, minority income has fallen, average wage for workers has fallen, made one of the worst nuclear deals ever with Iran, abandoned the inner cities, ect.

He was totally a great president

You can't summarize a president's accomplishments so haphazardly :rip:

For one thing, just because $19 Trillion is a scary number doesn't mean that its demonstrably bad or anything. China's not coming knocking on our door or anything, the debt isn't honestly as big of a deal as people make it out to be. We actually have a Triple A credit rating and are in no imminent fear of that changing because there is a lot more to the whole equation than just flat debt

Obama's relationship with the economy has been complicated; not only by the fact that many if not most Republicans thought he was the literal devil come to destroy America and fought him on everything he wanted to do to improve it, but also in that he was handed a huge pile of **** left over from Bush and was also simultaneously expected to make everything perfect. He didn't, but he still did quite a damn lot :emma:'

The Iran deal is barely a year old and the world hasn't ended, so I say give it some time to that :laughga:

For a less subjective list of accomplishments I recommend this, though it obviously isn't definitive of all of his accomplishments.

America was founded because they wanted to escape British rule. Many Americans seem to still resent advice or opinions from Brits. It's often seen as invasive or condescending. .

See: Piers Morgan :giggle: (just saying)

Many Americans except Trump who wants to work alongside the UK and have closer ties?  Yep, definitely still resentful, just saying  :laughga:

He had 8 years and still families are making less than they did 8 years ago, the inner cities are worse than ever with people being killed everyday, and the debt has doubled.

Hopefully he has a good impact, but right now after 8 full years, families are worse

Well a lot of what he wanted to do the Government blocked and thats not his fault

His idea for a big infrastructure revitalization is a great idea. It would not only boost GDP and job creation during construction phase, but would also have lasting benefits when the Country had better infrastructure to support its daily activities

Theres 2 kinds of spending. Spending on luxuries like social programs which are nice but dont give the economy much back. Its just a cost that you should only spend according to what you can afford

And theres spending thats an investment that pays back. Education and infrastructure is examples of spending thats an investment

With the kind of damage that was done 8 years isnt enough. And it doesnt help that the world isnt improving

Still tho, i do question a few of Obamas economic policies. Its nice to say not to a lot of fossil energy development to protect environment and to increase regulation on companies to protect certain employee rights and to create programs to insure more people have health coverage

But people also must recognize these things have a cost that come with it that you cant run away from. These things do result in a reduction in private sector investment and one has to decide whether its worth the cost or not.

Additionally we have 2 major chronic problems Globally that will keep the economy from growing properly

#1 Skills Mismatch: In this modern era of technology we need way more engineers, technicians, programers etc. Millions of these job positions globally are going unfilled because companies cant find enough skilled labor. But favtory jobs are being lost to automatization

As the economy changes due to technological change, the types of jobs available change as well and the issue is people arent qualified for whats opening up. We need to put a lot more enphasis in training programs and education to get people qualified for the jobs that do exist in 2016 and beyond

#2 Aging population: with more people retiring and birth rates chronically dropping, you have more people doing nothing now than ever before and more people cutting spending as they try to make retirement savings last

People think retirees means lower unenployment but thats a myth. Retired people contribute nothing to production and consume less than in their working years meaning theres less economic activity coming from them. In addition the fewer working people through taxes and pension deductions will have to share more of their purchasing power with retirees to sustain them if there is more of them than before

Raising retirement age with our dropping birth rates and longer life expectancy is something we need to consider and not shy away from no matter how unappealing it might sound

That Mr. Donald Trump will cancel the new gay marriage law? That he will kill everyone? That he will destroy everyone's lives? :awkney::emma:

A little over the top dont you think? Its not like hes gonna be able to establish dictatorship. Also, Im quite sure he isnt the one whos pulling the strings, theres always players you cant see in the background. Hes a polarizing figure and some people are easy to manipulate into voting for such a person. I thought my country was gonna be over when a neo-nazism party got elected to the parliament, and mind you most people who voted for them were aged 18-25!!!! I was disgusted with our country, the news about it aired on CNN, most people at that point didnt even know about where my country was and heard of it for the first time and I just thought this is it we are done, all hells about to break lose. Nothing like that happened. Everything stayed the same the only thing that changed is the group of people that embezzle money in our country.

Considering Hillary and Trump; both bad candidates without 3rd choice, Trump has the slight edge in terms of managing huge organization, he has better skills. My vote goes to Trump.
