Creyk 17,876
Bebe Rexha now joins the exclusive club of artists who fail to get a good enough hit so their label is not willing to release their albums. She is now in the good company of Iggy Azealea, DNCE, Rita Ora, and Laura Marano. The album was supposed to come out next month, now it's scheduled for a January release. But you can be sure that if she doesn't get a big hit until then it will be delayed even more. She confirms it at 1:

She honestly needs a solo hit. That is how she can get a "presence" in the industry. Right now she is just an acknowledged songwriter but she was that even before she scored these hits. She needs to prove that she (as a person) is marketable (like Selena Gomez) otherwise she is not worth the investment.

PaperIz 7,346
This is so sad, her EP was so great. She needs to release that kind of stuff still. She's trying so hard to be marketable so she's becoming forgettable and it sucks. I Don't Wanna Grow Up and Sweet Beginnings are so great and have a lot of heart. No Broken Hearts just sounds so manufactured Human generated art
xoxo cupcakke 4,781
Why did I think Bebe Rexha was this popping Caribbean songstress and it turns out it's just some girl from New York Anyways, now that I know a little more about her and seen some videos of hers, it's not surprising her album is being delayed. She doesn't stand out amidst a sea of Bonnie McKees and Diane Warrens. She seems like a great girl, just one who may never see topstar success unfortunately
tomdsgn 1,916
She's like Skylar Grey. Has a lot of great songs with other artists but doesn't have a hit big enough to solidify herself as a credible "pop star" - and it's a great shame, as they're all incredible singers who got their break because of their ability as awesome songwriters. There's just no room for Bebe's, the Skylar's and the Bonnie's, their spaces are taken by the Rihanna's and the Katy's who are singing their songs. venusfly 17,885
Everything she releases lately is complete trash I Cant Stop Drinking About You was one of my favorite songs for a while, but the whole tryhard pop singer thing she's got going on now is NOT working

But to be fair Skylar and Bonnie seem to be enjoying their careers, and seem to have accepted that they'll just never reach that level of stardom. Theres nothing worse than seeing someone continuously fall on their face, which is why it's great that they're embracing what they do have. There's nothing more inspiring than seeing these girls thrive doing what the love. They know deep down that being a huge popstar doesn't make anybody any happier, just makes it easier to pay the bills.
