Basically, they record parts of their songs and skip some, so the other singer can jump in at that point and add their own vocals, therefore creating a duet with fan + the real star singing the song. The new pop stars are doing it, and the videos on youtube get lots of views. It's a really cool, CHEAP form of subtle promo. Would you be here for Gaga doing something like this?
