I imagine that she knew about his quirky, creative home, heard it was going to be sold, and thought "I can't just let some random person buy it, remove the studio, renovate it into something bland, and destroy his creative wonderland" I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. addiicted 19 Posted September 22, 2016 Share Posted September 22, 2016 oh my god this absolutely blows my mind u guys. my father was OBSESSED with Zappa so I grew up listening to his music and learning about his legacy... when my dad was still with us, we used to talk about how Gaga was to me what Zappa was to him. I even told her about this in a long ass letter I gave to her when we met backstage this is absolutely amazing! I forgot to say that she obviously just finds the place inspiring too! Knowing how much music was created there. I watched a video about Frank Zappa earlier that showed his passion for music and being innovative with sound. She's quite spiritual. I bet this will be her 'writing house' where she goes just to write and have jam sessions with her collaborators. A really special space just for writing, away from her actual home. Good thing she's a millionaire God, I'd kill to have the money to buy (first of all one home) a second home just for creative meditation and work! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. This must be really exciting for you! Two worlds crossing paths. And knowing that she read about your experience with your father, and her being your Frank Zappa, and then ended up buying his home... you must be buzzing with excitement did you tell your dad yet? Even if she did not read my letter, it's cool that I was right with assuming she might like/be inspired by Zappas outstanding passion for alls kinds of music (even though his attitude towards women was kind of upsetting imho) unforunately I won't be able to tell my dad since he passed away two years ago, but I am very sure that he would like this so much (Gaga and I talked about his passing when we met and she was eager to assure that she felt my dads spirit in the room then.) To a much lesser extent I saw some of my worlds collide when my favourite artist ended up seeking out a role, and starring in, one of my favourite TV shows for a whole season! Gaga and AHS were two paths I never even entertained the idea of crossing. Oh I'm sorry! Gaga is very spiritual If you believe in such things, I'm sure a part of him is excited about this with you still! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
