Redoing albums because of poor lead singles?

This is true, I never thought of it like this but it's still disheartening :/

I agree. "Disheartening" is actually the best word to describe it. Plus, it's confusing. Suddenly, an Era begins! And then.... nothing... and then, eventually, a NEW new song. Was I dreaming? Are we pretending that didn't happen? Ok.... it's weird.

Ariana didn't create a new album. She said the album was very different from Focus after the lead single was released.

I've scrapped whole written albums because I felt they didn't showcase my best. Poor critical reception can do that as well.

lol like if Ariana does her own songs :toofunny:

She co-wrote most of her songs in Dangerous Woman and she's the executive producer of the album. Her albums are also praised mostly bc of he vocals. You can discredit her as much as you want and stay pressed though.

The risk did pay off, and I'm glad it did.

She was forced to do something different. Focus did sound similar to Problem and the public wasn't here for it.

It's actually really good focus kind of flopped. It really helped Ariana grow.

Yeah, because Ariana really got the attention she deserves when Dangerous Woman era started. However, I kinda wish Be Alright was a single instead of Side To Side :emma:

Hmm, I still think that Gaga was not for PI. I still think that the song with RedOne was much better for a first single.

you didn't even hear it lmao

If the 'art' they worked so hard on to make is so easily scrappable, then maybe it shouldn't have been put out in the first place.

No self-respecting artist would scrap a whole album that they put their heart into, because of a lead singles chart placement.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Swan Heart

I find it really cheap.

I can't believe some actually want that from Gaga.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

I doubt these acts scrap entire albums tbh. Rework eras and maybe record a stronger lead lol.

No they did... they changed the whole direction of there albums! Artist normally write 50 to 100 songs per album

You think that because you've heard the song, right? :laughga:

Grimes did it too

these moves make me feel like the artists don't really love their own work

Most of them are not writing their work!! So they probabaly feel no connection.
