It's so good isn't it? It will be released 2 weeks before the album drops so it looks like it's the second single. Can't wait for a lovely TV performance, she will do so well! :omg:

Tove is such an incredible artist  These songs are exactly the ethereal bops I was hoping for! She's evolved so much and I'm proud of her

fragment-fragment--bul-uh...scab-uh..fragment-foot, bullet fragment foot bich!

I love her new sound! I'm glad that she didn't ''reinvent'' herself even though the production is a little bit different. Why does it have a picture of Lana though? :emma:

I don't hear even a drop of individualism in this album. It sounds like it could be Ellie Goulding, Sia (sans the overbearing vocals obviously), or any other thin voiced random female chill tempo pop-electronic centric mainstream artist making music right now. Im literally so ****ing over basic "ethereal" chill-electro bitches. Habits was a genuinely ear grabbing single and I feel like nothing she has ever made remotely comes close to what makes that song shine.

I like it a lot too. It's a grower but after the 4th listen I was totally into it.

If you think this could be Ellie Goulding, then you obviously only have a very superficial knowledge about both of their discographies.

I can honestly understand what they're saying. Her EP sounded like nothing else I'd listened to at the time. She had to me a unique sound that was raw and imperfect. And instead of staying in her own bubble she perhaps allowed others to influence her too much and her to go more trendy. I remember when she was taking about The Weeknd influencing her and I was like "nooooo stay in your own lane."

My biggest thing after hearing those snippets a few times is it all sounds very slick and polished but I'm not hearing emotion in her voice. I'm constantly going back and forth with her but I'm trying not to judge too much based on these clips. I'm gonna hold off until I've heard the full album but I will say I love her voice. It might actually be my favorite voice right now. It's smooth, sexy, that hint of accent, just the tone of it.

I think it very much could be Ellie Goulding tbh. And im not ignorant of either of their discographies. I was actually onto Tove Lo about a year and a half before Habits even reached american airwaves. Mind you, vocally they're in the same ballpark, im not talking lyrics although half the time their lyrics could be interchangeable if you don't think too hard about it. they both have that thin voiced female electronic pop vocal that is so common its almost a marker of a lack of identity to me. I think Ellie Goulding is one of the least significant and least distinctive popular artists to break out this decade. And while Tove Lo initially caught my interest way back when, upon hearing her official debut record and now all these snippets, I think shes right there with Ellie at this point. To me, Habits was refreshing, but shes offered nothing beyond it.
