Not trying to dis-credit Christian at all but this isn't really news per se.

This is an amazing move. If you all really knew about the bussiness you'd know that where the make good money from is touring, and they know Gaga is still a good touring force. That way they dont invest a lot of money in promo for the music and make more money from the tour. You all are too worried about Billboard, when it doesnt equal to success. Rebel Heart flopped, the Rebel Heart Tour slayed. That's what legends do.

This is giving some serious AP teas. Back when Applause under-performed everyone was like "no worries guys, Gaga is an album artist" and then the album sales came in...

Thanks! @Zilla

And @monketsharona, my "indie" post had nothing to do with how the album is being promoted or if she'd be performing material from it before the tour or not. It was in response to someone wanting her to do a bunch of promo when that's not what she really enjoys doing. The OP is more or less out of context.

why?

Why would you bring back someone who hurt Gaga and let her fall into depression, just because of success?

What a disgusting thing to say.

Ignore it. It doesn't deserve any time of the day. :toofunny:

If this is even accurate, which I don't think is the case, I believe it is more of a re-branding than going indie. They want to market her as something more approachable and they probably hope that everyone forgets who she was before. For me as a fan it's a lose-lose really. If she is successful at it, all these years of support were literally a perfect illusion - I was supporting a product/brand. If she fails at it, she'll fade into complete irrelevance - and I'd really hate to see that.

Oh well, I hope the people spreading this info are pulling it out of their asses.

This is exactly what I think she needs. So happy she's taking this approach.

To everyone having a meltdown please remember the following:

- Gaga said she's going to keep making music for decades to come and that "this is where she is at the moment". Please concentrate on the "At the moment" part. We will all and for sure get to hear Gaga do 'pop' music again, but for now, this is what she wants to do creatively and it's her right. If she's constantly pushed to keep doing the same music to please everyone, we will never get any authenticity. And inauthenticity is the very death of a true artist (aka Gaga). So please do not spread negativity and conformity, because all you end up doing is hurting the artist and possibly driving them to a melt down. We can blame the media for destroying artists all the time, but at the end of the day, the truth is that also many 'fans' subconsciously and consciously tear their idols to shreds and end up contributing to their downfall.

Relax and try to respect the sweat and tears that go through behind records like Gaga's 'Joanne'. It's never easy to delve into yourself and write your emotions down, let alone sharing your most vulnerable feelings with the world.

Thank you.
