Gaga singing live and then cutting to Britney's pre-recorded vocals wouldn't be cohesive. It wouldn't mesh well together and people would notice and make a stink about it. That's just the reality of it. Britney doesn't sing live. And the Super Bowl doesn't want a glorified light show with a dance troupe. This is why Bruno Mars, Aerosmith, Prince, and even Beyonce's first turns were so successful.
