She talked about it a couple times, saying AHS influenced her music. The only quote I was able to find was "Yeah, I've been writing a lot for the past year. Are we going to find any of those writings inspired by AHS in Joanne, or not? I'm assuming not. She started working with RedOne around the time she was doing AHS but apparently it was Mark Ronson who ended up as the executive producer, a long time after she finished AHS. Joanne is new and something she's never done before. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like. They thought that they are going to stay with her forever, that she loved them but she threw them like garbage.. So it was just an illusion.
