We can't say the album isn't going to have upbeat songs. We've got Perfect Illusion. A dance anthem over 120BPM, and positively reviewed. Don't let the album artwork fool you. Would you guys have guessed that Do What U Want would have been an outstanding R&B track , not even hearing it yet, but only seeing... (I also, wouldn't have guessed that J&D and Applause, would end up on the same record.) Seeing that she's confirmed Joanne, to be non-conceptual, as ARTPOP was (for the most part), you could probably get a song ala Daffodils, a song ala Brooklyn Baby, a song ala Honeybear (My personal favorite from FJM), a song ala *insert random Lady Antebellum song here*, a song ala Black to Black and a gay bar anthem, as she's always given. “For me, insanity is super sanity.
