who the **** cares about bandwagons and hipsters? if you like the music, then enjoy it. if you dont, then dont listen to it.

ia. Lana is really overexposed on music forums + Twitter.. But not really in public. So it's only going to get worse. *Sigh* might as well get into her now :flutter:

You better get used to it. I shall be ****ting my pants over her for the next three months. Not just ****, either. DIARRHEA, EVERYWHERE. I'm going to fling my watery Marina & The Diamonds **** all over GagaDaily like an agitated monkey.

this tbh

I thought the Marina bandwagon was last year? And I'm kind of the opposite of a hipster - I have the same devil's advocate attitude with music at times, but I see the bandwagon Lana fans as the "hipsters". Not me. And I dislike her strictly for that. People think they're so cool because they've found someone new. At least in my neck of the woods...I live in Texas, mind you, so it takes the idiots down here approximately 6 months longer than the rest of the world to jump on to a bandwagon trend.

If you don't like her because other people think it's cool, then that makes you a hipster ;)

Thinking you're cool because you found something new and thinking you're too cool to like something others think is cool are both as obnoxious as each other tbh.

Well, it's not that black and white for me. Lady Gaga for instance - everyone was so, so obsessed with her during The Fame. She was this new, trendy chick that everyone just ate up, and I didn't understand the hype because her music was so subpar to me. Me not getting the hype personally and in turn being incredibly annoyed by it completely turned me off of her. Then she made Bad Romance, and even though everyone was still obsessed, I finally understood why because the song was THAT good. It matched up with the hype...and I never looked back, because her quality in music just got better and better.

My point is, if the music is up to scratch, then bandwagoning hype doesn't bug me. I don't play devil's advocate just to spite everyone. I play it when I see nothing special in the artist in the first place. That's why I don't do "new" pop artists. More times than not, if they're really as good as people say they are, their best music does come until their 2nd, 3rd or 4th albums. If they're not as good as people say they are, they won't last that long anyway and I wasted no time following said artist.

3 months later and I still completely adore this album.

I feel I should have Radio at my wedding.

It really is something special.

Interesting to compare it to Ceremonials actually.

I played the **** out of both of them when I first got them but (even though I have been a MASSIVE Flo fan since '09) only BTD has the longevity to repeat listen without getting stale. (Apart from 2 songs on Ceremonials)

And Video Games will go down as one of the best songs of the decade. I know EVERYBODY has heard it and its overplayed, but it is actually that good.

I can't wait to see what she does next, but if she was to stick to her word and not release another album, I would be fine with BTD.

Please, I listen to Lady Gaga and Britney Spears nonstop. Go look at my albums in the "Post your CD collection thread". I'm nothing if not mainstream pop obsessed.
