Lady Gaga Says Born This Way Will Be 'Greatest Album Of This Decade

I mean she got the "BORN" part right. Does anyone else think Gaga was a prophet for Queen Lana Del Rey debut?

The demo version of National Anthem is much better than the album version.

The album is pretty good. Diet Mountain Dew, Million Dollar Man, Dark Paradise, and Radio are good. Although I think Radio gets pretty repetitive. And Lolita sounds good as well.

Honestly, it's not as good as I thought it would be. But it's still decent.

i disagree. the demo version, while arguably catchier, is much more generic--ANY artist could've done that. the album version makes it very "lana"-y. very distinct from anyone else. plus, it's deeper and more emotional. the chorus is beautiful.

the album is better than decent, i think. not perfect, but very strong. i really enjoy listening to it. some of it gets a little...bland, just in that many of the songs have similar production. but regardless, a very strong debut.

national anthem :legend:

dark paradise :legend:

So the more I listen to this album, the more I like it.

...I always am ashamed when I dislike something so publically and then find myself enjoying it later...

Well I liked the "rock" vibe from the demo. I feel like the album version sounds like everything else. I liked when I first listened to National Anthem demo, it sounded different from the other four tracks I've hear. It's more boring to me actually  I don't really see how it's more emotional though. It is a strong album. But not many of the songs really blew me away or anything. I feel like it all sounds too similar. I'm not saying that she can't be consistent, but I feel like she found a formula and just re-did it over and over. That's what I liked about the original NA demo - it sounded a bit different.

But that's just me.

I like Lana - I was head over heels over her a few weeks ago, lol. But the album was just an initial let-down. I might like it more later on after a few listens.

Once again, that's just me
