An aging population creating financial strain and reduced productivity may not be helping. The Government debt Governments have acquired over past few decades may not be helping either.

 

But the truly chronic problem that is hard to fix is the skills mismatch brought on by technology.

 

Fact of the matter is, theres lots job opening positions of high paying jobs in most of the developed world. Companies are complaining they cant find enough workers. Yet people complain jobs are hard to come by.

 

The more technologically advanced we become and the more we rely on machines, the more engineers, software programers, technicians etc will be required but fewer factory workers are required

 

Jobs still are being created as the economy becomes more technologically advanced. The problem is the old jobs anyone could learn on the job. Now, most jobs require specific education and training, and its harder to change fields of work giving people less flexibility to look around because they are qualified for fewer jobs

 

This makes it hard for companies to expand their operations, and it makes it hard for people to find work if everything thats available requires skill sets that on most cases you dont have. 

 

These days theres just less flexibility on what you can search for and qualify for. As a result both average joes and companies are loosing with this!

I think this is probably true with most conventional jobs. Most people also don't know about writing niche content and using website advertising. Most people also believed they are untalented for creative jobs, while many artists are thriving off patreons, commissions, and other such things. let's not forget about authors.

While there are many jobs available for those without college education, they're relatively unknown, and tap into a skillset most don't have, or prefer to keep as hobbies.

And when ppl do go to college or university they dont always go where theres more oppurtunity

 

Way more ppl try to be lawyers than we need and its highly competitive.

 

Yet here in Canada (most of developed world is same thing) were just screaming for technicians, software programers and even certain trades like welding

 

People are not at fault that a higher percentage of jobs today require specific training and education than before. But they are at fault when they choose to try to go into fields everyone knows are super competitive

Economy, you do bring some interesting topics to discussion.Would you have an article that describes what are the types of jobs for the future or the ones that are demandaded and there is not enough people to cover those positions?

Varies a bit from country to country. U can find varying opinions on the net id do research if I were you

 

In almost every Nation high tech jobs are in demand. Programers, Technicians and engineers

 

Jobs related to healthcare are also rising because our population is aging and a higher percentage of the population is becoming old

 

Some job demands are more local tho. Here in Canada for example construction is high in demand. But a Country like Japan where population is shrinking or much if Europe where population growth is stalled, if your a builder you might not have many job openings to look at

 

But yeah, globally as a whole tech jobs are going unfilled

 

We become more and more dependant on technology with each passing year but only a tiny percentage of the worlds population has any idea how any of it works
