Based on industry forecasts, the song could sell 100,000 downloads in its first week. It also could draw approximately 18-20 million in radio audience and 6 million U.S. streams, based on Billboard projections according to preliminary Nielsen Music data. Those figures could add up to a top 20 debut for the song on the Hot 100, which blends sales, airplay and streaming data.

Well, this is actually really tragic.

I was hopping for it to debut at #10

REALITY

I don't think people remember that she hasn't been in the mainstream music industry for the past 3 years—and even then, I'm sure most of the GP doesn't know much about ARTPOP, so their last permanent recollection of Gaga could be as far back as BTW.

Considering these circumstances, I think it's great. Obviously, Gaga doesn't really care about the charts and has decided to make music because it's her love and her passion. Instead of us worrying about how/when it's going to debut, how about we just listen and enjoy then music?

EDIT - Also, what I'm trying to say is that we've waited for a single/album for so long, and know we have it, and now some of us feel like she's obligated to give us a #1 hit. She isn't obligated to give anyone anything. Enjoy the music for what it is, and if it's not your cup of tea, then maybe wait until the next one.

The fact that so many of us only seem to care about the charts is unsettling.
