No. We need the video this week and Friday would be great. This song is going to lose it's excitement without presenting a video this week. I think that now, songs should come out directly, with a video.

I don't get why people are so in a fuss about it. They know what they're doing. They've learned with every album and their decisions are smart and planned out. Plus, Gaga said that the video wasn't even 100% complete, so why are people so disheartened about it??

No one confirmed that the video would some this week, or anything. I get that people just want it ASAP, but they plan stuff out for a reason.

The music video is said to be finished. And its simple so editing cant take long. So its not like they cant release it if they dont want to. They are purposely witholding it from us

 

Now would they make us wait just for the fun of it? That would be absord. They have to have a reason to be delaying it if its all finished

 

Im thinking that they know the song is a grower. That seems to be the general consensus that most people prefer the song after a few listens...

 

Keeping that in mind, they may be trying to save much of the promo and hype building (like a music video) until a little later on to give it some more jolts and life to maintain steady airplay and exposure

 

A grower if it gets steady play long enough could eventually erupt and become a big hit. But if all the promo is used up innitially there is a risk the grower could just plumet after a few weeks if there isnt enough support

 

immagine the attention: "hey Guess what? gaga released a simple video with just her singing and no weird stuff can you believe it?" And that for example can help maintain exposure to the song longer

 

As i said, they wouldnt make us wait just for the sake if making us wait!!!!!

I'm not denying that they are releasing late on purpose, but DWUW had this same conspiracy theory.

Because a video merely helps. It alone doesnt determine whether a song is successful. Its just a form of promotion

Exactly. Where is the passion and effort that Gaga had throughout her career? Even during ARTPOP where the concept was to not give a f*** to pop music, she gave us her most aggressive attitude. 

It's a waste of talent and a waste of fan support if she releases anything halfheartedly knowing she could top the charts if she wanted. I hope it's just a phase.

Look at Drake. He still hasn't released a video for One Dance and that song blew up. Streaming has ensured that you no longer need a music video to have a hit single, or even to release a song as an official single (his song with Rihanna has gone top 10 in a few countries shortly after his album got released despite the song taking 3 months to be released as a single - it went to #3 in the UK and has sold over 600k). Delaying a music video is a good strategy these days, what with streaming making a lot of songs growers, unlike the old days. Delaying makes people thirsty, I find. Let the official audio continue to get millions of views, lets its likes continue to grow. It'll ensure by the time the official release comes, people will be chomping at the bit for it. PI, just the audio, has 44k more likes than the Applause audio (despite the Applause audio having 28 million views - 16 million more than PI) and currently has more likes than Lovegame has achieved in over 7 years. This has a lot of potential for success.

Keep in mind tho almost everyone has youtube accounts now. When Love Game came out at least half of viewers or more were guest viewers without an account and so they did not rate it

 

Still tho. I agree it has potential. Shazam, twitter and requests suggest so

 

Many people dont love this song but few people outright hate it... So theres a good chance it can grow on people that are neutral with this song too

 

A grower without many haters has a huge potential

Yeah, views and likes/dislikes have increased so much more now due to the population increasing, more accounts being made, YouTube becoming the #1 way that people watch music videos and pretty much the only way...I mean, there was once a time that having 100k dislikes on your music video was a big deal, it meant your video was really disliked. Now it's nothing, it's a standard for a big name artist who attracts a lot of viewers. Now people are fearing that they could one day get a 1 million disliked video. There was a time when getting 500k likes on a video was massive, now it would be considered a flop. It's normal to get 1 million likes in less than a month, especially if you're a big name with a young fanbase. The only thing is, the older music videos get paid dust in regards to people putting in a like for them many years after the fact. Is there much point liking a video that came out 7 years ago, before you became a Youtuber? But the views certainly show that these videos haven't been forgotten. 3 of Madonna's old songs (Papa Don't Preach, Vogue and Hung Up) are among her 5 most viewed videos of all time.

So far the AI and Radio Spins Gains have been "decent". Nit massive, not bad. So its hard to tell this early what direction the song will take

I just wonder how much views Gaga would of gotten at her peak if it happened a few years later

 

A decent top 5 hit now for example can gt a good 200-300M views back in 2010 it would get maybe 100M

 

Bad Romance at one point was the most viewed video on youtube. Its not aparent now just how big Gaga was at her peak since normal numbers now are higher

 

Gaga was the first to reach 1 Billion views. Now theres individual videos that by themselves have over a Billion
