Atlanta teacher controversy over 'inappropriate' attire

A fourth-grade teacher in Georgia has become the subject of public ridicule and debate — and inspired the social media hashtag #teacherbae — for a handful of outfits she recently wore in the classroom.

The controversy started when Paris Monroe shared several #OOTD (outfit of the day) posts to her Instagram, proudly showing off a few fitted, “bodycon” dresses. In another shot, Monroe is wearing a tight pair of jeans and a long-sleeved Charlotte Hornets T-shirt. Though none of the outfits come close to revealing an inappropriate amount of skin, they do cling to the teacher’s generous curves — and therein lies the problem.

Though school officials have not commented on the situation, the court of public opinion remains vocal. On her Instagram, Monroe seems to have responded to the controversy by taking the high road, posting the inspirational quote, “This too shall pass,” and commenting, “My only focus is to remain FOCUSED! #TheBiggerPicture.”

President Biden

People want the government to regulate the tightness of our cloths now? Disgusting

I agree with her. We need more Liberty

She's dressed fine.  It's not like she can do anything about her curves unless she literally wears loose bedsheet clothing every single day.  Plus if she teaches 4th grade, none of them are thinking about anything sexual anyway.

No matter how women dress, it does not please society. Bikini? Indecent and slutty. Covered up and formfitting? Indecent and slutty. Covered up and baggy? Prude and boring, possibly a terrorist and subjugates to men if she's muslim.

"But we don't need feminism" MY F*CKING ASS.

She just has boobs and thighs with a thin waist. It'd be like a muscled male teacher wearing a short sleeved shirt, it's just how the clothes fit her?

So because she doesn't fit the mold of frumpy older white woman teacher she's being criticized? No one was pissed off about that fine ass male teacher wear tight ass clothes. Once again, it's because she's a woman, therefore her body must remain a mystery.

I mean French police officers seem to enforce that already by gunpoint on women.

I think people are more upset by the #teacherbae and posing than her actual clothes.

So Yahoo's evidence of there being a "backlash" is three negative tweets made by people who don't know her, don't have kids in her class and probably don't even live anywhere near the school she teaches? And besides that 99% of the comments on social media are positive. The article even says school officials and parents of students she teaches have not made any complaints so what exactly is the controversy here?

I really, really hate things like this because it really feels like it's media-generated controversy made to get click views.
