I work in sound design, and yep, the song is strangely mixed. The gain is noticeably lower in several vocal sections and on the instrumental. The instrumental also sounds way too muffled and compressed. As an audiophile, it's honestly annoying and a huge turnoff. I mean, I'm listening to it on HD lossless headphones and I still feel like the instruments are way too fuzzed out. There's no sense of clarity in the mix.

THE FAME, in sound groups, is known as being badly mixed

I mean, listen to Just Dance and then switch over to DWUW--there's a huge difference.

I didn't understand everything you said, but I definetely can hear that there's something wrong with the production. It's so weird how low the volume is. There's not enough bass either. The intro is the only part that sounds like a professional producer did it  All the elements just sound very unclear and low quality...
