I forgot to mention, and it possible has already been said, but........

At the beginning of the episode, once they buy the house, the camera pans to behind a tree and we see a dirty shoulder. Could that possibly have been Gaga?

Omg I totally forgot about that! I just had to rewatch it to see that. It's definitely one of the colonists/ground people! We still know so little about them though! Which is actually one of the reasons I love this season. Because it seems like this time they aren't gonna have flashes to different scenes showing the audience what is really going on, we might only learn things about the story as the characters find out. I love when shows do that. It keeps you guessing, keeps you interested. Just like how now we're speculating if that's Gaga's character, and how there are other threads guessing who the people are and what it all means! So much more exciting than being explicitly shown what the baddies are up to behind the scenes.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Finally watched the episode tonight (I don't have fx :toofunny:) and I am so pumped for this season. I am loving the documentary style. The story can go in so many directions from here.

I like that we are being introduced to characters slowly. If they continue at this pace, it will remind me of Murder House.

I feel like the acting of the "real life" characters is really somber because it is supposed to be their real life story. They went through a traumatic experience and probably don't want to relive it. I think that's why they sound distant.

It would be really cool to see the re-enactors break character later in the season if/when things start happening to them.

In the scene with Cuba Gooding Jr at his hotel room when he sees the security camera, did it seem like he was with someone? Like he was talking to someone before he realized there were people with pitchforks going into the house.

Also something tells me that the main couple are not together anymore in "present day." Could he be cheating or something?

Sorry for the long comment

I really enjoyed the first episode. I am very glad they decided to go in a different direction with this season. I did not want another messy season like Hotel. Overall, I have high hopes for this season and the future of the show!

Pros:

I love Sarah Paulson. Finally she has a main role.

I love the location, the house is epic.

I like the visual aesthetic , It looks like a movie.

Cons:

- I'm sorry but I think the plot is a little bit cliche:  a couple of the city has a traumatic event, they move to the countryside to an old house and strange things start to happen to the wife and the husband does not believe her.

I hope this will improve because I love AHS.

- No title credits? wtf Ryan!
