Swando 300
I kinda like the new style! Could very much happen that it goes into present day during the mid season, But acting-wise, i really disliked the Present day Lee, and the Reenactor of Matt... I feel like their roles don't fit. Multiple times i cringed with the way Lee delivered her lines, and her "tough sister" look did not help. The Matt actor... Is a bit more worrying to me. Out of the male characters of the 1st episode, i liked the ex-husband to Lee the most. I felt some proper passion in his lines... Where Matt just... didn't work out for me. There wasn't much emotion on his face, and the lines went on the same tone level throughout the episode.

The Surrealist 27,470
My reactions to all characters. Shelby (Sarah Paulson) Shelby (Lily Rabe) Matt (Cuba Gooding Jr.) Matt (The random dude) Lee (Angela Bassett) Lee (That Woman from S1) Kathy Bates (all the Rednecks) and Gaga from the preview:
LastNight 5,935
The more I think about it, the more I loved it. I wonder if at any point we'll see the actors in the re-enactment scenes break character and see them 'behind the scenes'? It could become about how the cast and crew are suffering from the same hauntings while they shoot the reconstructions that the people they're playing endured. That could be awesome if they did it well. I love the concept of a TV show in a TV show and the AHS actors playing the MRN actors who are playing Shelby and Matt etc. It has a lot of potential. If we are never given an official theme I wonder how it will be referred to in the future? AHS: Roanoke, AHS: Farmhouse, AHS: Colony, AHS: Forest, AHS: Cult? I think Colony could become the short hand for this season, but it's too early to tell.
boobtank 9,090
I really hope Kathy's accent isn't as terrible and distracting as it was in season
Tresor 1,649
I really loved it. Really fresh and original for AHS, which desperately needed a new format. Reminded me of Grave Encounters if anyone has seen that. I haven't jumped from a horror movie/show in forever until Sarah hit Kathy with her car. Monster Voices 1,024
I llllove it! I really disliked Hotel tbh. Gaga was fenomenal in it but it was not my cup of tea at all. This is a lot more promising now ^_^ Can't wait to see her role in it!!! Forever and Always!
Quartz 12,535
Goddammit I was as scalped as that guy in the end This was AMAZING. I was legit covering my face. Yes, the commentary does give a dragging vibe but it's an effective tool in controlling the mood. Too much action will just desensitize us to the shock and horror so I am so here for the commentary style. Can't wait to see Gaga as the Enchantress. And Kathy Bates at that preview, damn girl, your accent had me SHOOK. The six actors were very good. I am so invested in the story. Too bad there are no good HD torrents now. I want to rewatch this in High Definition. Streaming quality is sh|t Like how Perfect illusion weeded out non-hardcore monsters, I think this season will also weed out casual AHS fans and will certainly gain new ones. I can't wait for what this season will hold! I think the plot is going to be the center of this season thus ensuring no messy loose ends (looking at you past 3 seasons). They just changed the game, bravo AHS, bravo REQ - Can someone please make a funny GIF of that scalped man at the end? I wanna use it whenever I wanna say I'm scalped Maybe even insert LG5 somewhere in there Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Azor Ahai 18,861
What a meh season premiere. The whole premise is such a cliche I get this is what they were going for but the fact everything happens so quickly in 40 minutes doesn't let the tension build up. This was like the basic 90 minutes horror movie recipe. Something happens to couple. They decide to move ina new house. Husband is off to work. Wife all alone. Weird stuff happens. "I swear it my husband its true! . "Maybe youre just seeing things " . "Oh no its actually really happening!!!". But this was done in 40 minutes and doesnt feel right.
