I can't believe they let Cheyenne Jackson have a bigger role than Gaga, Matt and Finn. With Gaga maybe it's because of her new album but Matt and Finn should have a bigger role than Cheyenne. I'm open for Cheyenne to amaze me this time though.

It's Denis O'Hare! I recognize that voice of his anywhere! Plus I read he let his beard grow and that he's a really hairy character this season.

Very interesting plot/concept, looks like it'll be scary. But not my favorite premiere.

Gaga is credited as recurring, so hopefully she's in most episodes.

I got Blair witch, the shinning, and the fog vibes.

I'm in love with the creative direction they've taken this season! They needed to shake things up a little and it's working big time! The suspense/mystery aspect adds such a level of anticipation to it as a viewer. I've been hoping they that would do a season one day where the viewers know only as much as the characters, and we watch the story unfold at the same time as they do, and piece the puzzle together ourselves. Previous seasons I've gotten a little bored waiting for the characters to learn the plot twists that we already know as viewers. I can't wait to see how this season plays out! It's so interesting and different, but still the same AHS at it's core!

 

Some thoughts:

-Love all the characters. Their stories are all really interesting already.

-I was right about the windchimes trailer with the teeth being the real one 

-Someone was scalped, which points to Native American themes

-I can't wait to see Kathy Bates play a bad character again

-I'm loving the sets and special effects already like the fake buck teeth on Kathy and the others, and all the little details that make this show amazing to watch

-Anyone read Death Note, Another Note? The little stick dolls remind me of the wara ningyo and I love that 

-Love love love so far. Can't wait for episode 2!

-It appears to be Gaga huddling up to Kathy in the trailer for episode 2. If that's true, the character name leaks that we got could be true. Gaga's and Kathy's characters had old timey names and the same last name.

-My name is Leigh (Lee) so that's weird

Some thoughts:

- Crimson Harvest on Cinema.

- The couple will kill the whole cult by themselves, they showed how vulnerable they are, so there needs to be a balance.

- Paulson's lenses threw me off the whole time.

- Lily Rabe reminds me of Emily Vancamp in Revenge.

- I hate the guy from the present couple.

- The voiceover is fine as long as it doesn't interfere with the story.

- I love the setting and acting so far.

- I don't like the in your face social commentary.

- The whole 'Lee' scene was so unnecssary and boring.

- The episode felt more cohesive and not so cut up like Hotel.

- Blair Witch hommage on the home video.

- I like the chemistry between Angela and Sarah so far.

9/10 for Episode 1. Faaaar better than Hotel.

Thoughts about Episode 2:

- I think Cheyenne Jackson is playing Manpig. Matt Bomer is playing the man with the camera. Wes Bentley is playing one of the cult. Gaga and Kathy are family. Gaga's character is batshitcrazy and wild.

Oh yeah, Sarah's contacts threw me off too! But I was able to get past it eventually. And I think the man behind the camera is Denis O'Hare. I saw Wes Bentley in the group!

i don't know what to say.i love it and i hate it at the same time......it felt like i needed more than this......bit for the first episode it was really good.......only thing that i really really don't like is that haunted tv show part of the season.....i mean it was ok for the first episode but it feels like it will get annoying after a couple of episodes......i cant wait for next episode......it looks crazy.....and i can't wait to see Gaga's character........

also i feel like they are paying homage to old Hollywood horror movies......and i love it they finally got back that scary and creepy feeling that i loved

I loved the episode. This was genuinely the only time I've been scared by AHS since I watched Asylum. Can't wait for the next episode

What have I just watched?

....

No intro?

They are actors talking about an event, it's obvious that they are alive.

It's a show within a show. but I doubt anyone makes shows LIKE THAT.

We as a viewers are limited to a whole story experience this way.

The whole time I hoped they will pan out the "set" and reveal them as actors of the show with 'a problem'.

They've come so far with AHS so they recycled themes from before and make this mess?

I hope next episode to change the whole game. I want this to happen so bad! At least switch the story, start a new one and then connect them all in the end of the season...
