I knew I was completely in love on Friday night when I was out drinking and couldn't get the melody out of my head. All weekend I've been blasting it with the windows down in my car when I am driving around town. It's a banger! :firega:

I had the same initial reaction to PI as I did to BTW, I thought it was very different but I liked it and I needed to listen to it and let my self adjust. I will be honest, it took me some time to get used to the way she sings love and also the key change, but at some point I listened to the instrumental and realised how incredible the music behind her voice actually is (its very dominating on the first few listens) and went back to the real version and it all CLICKED.

The key change, the way she pronounces her words, the repeated lyrics all of it is so intentional and has such purpose to overall song when you can hear whats going on with both elements. The pronunciation thing is also VERY intentional, it really enables the hook to resonate in your head and god damn its been a very long time since I've had a song stuck in my head like this, I'm singing it unconsciously all day long. My bf (who is not a Gaga stan in the slightest) said this morning he needed a PI antidote, something to get the song out of his head because its been stuck in brain since it came out.

I didn't care for it at first but now pumpkin is my favorite flavor. Especially when you put a nice amount of whipped cream on top of the slice.

I just spat all over my phone

When I first heard it I loved it. I had the chorus stuck in my head and it grew more and more on me.

I liked it a lot at first, but I felt underwhelmed because I expected a longer song with a traditional pre-chorus, longer verses, etc. But within about 2 days I realized that the structure is like a constant adrenaline rush that only grows, and I think it's amazing   and the key change tops it off. It's really like nothing on the radio right now and is challenging that normal structure in a way. I think it could grow a lot on other people too and be a future success because of it's growing power as people get used to it.

Yeah first time I heard it was at 6.30 am and I didn't really feel it. Fast forward today and I've got the song on repeat all weekend. I still think though the vocals should be pushed back abit and maybe add abit of delay or reverb.

Hello little girls,

I wanted to make a thread to share my happiness, today is the day I started stanning PI.  If you used to dislike or feel conflicted about PI, but now you love it, share your story here.

I'll start :diane:

When PI came out, I was a little hungover and I bought it on my phone and listened.  I thought well, I don't care about this.  Nothing feels new or exciting in fact it felt lacking.  Plus I thought the song is too short.

The next days I spent trying to like the song, listening sometimes, and other times being really negative, calling the song boring and saying positive reviews were wrong.  After that I calmed down but inside myself I thought, what is Gaga doing?  She must be ddepresse and confused.

Fast forward to today.  I was listening to PI in the car.  About 29 times.  After a while I went back to my regular playlist.  That's when it happened.  All my songs are **** now!  They all sound so plain, empty, like embarrasing.  They have a beat and some funny electronic sound and all songs are so basic like that now.

I went back to playing PI and it was relief.  I didn't realize my ears had gotten used to all the lush parts of the production that I didn't even hear at first.  The rumbling bass underbelly of the song.  The guitars.  The drums.  And Gaga's melody.  The melody just fits a perfect shape in my ears now.  I don't want any other melody.

I hope this happens to others like me.  Please share your conversion stories too!

You left one thing out....her VOICE.  I love it.  Took me 5 listens to start liking it, now I LOVE it.  My friend walked in the room today just as I started playing it.  She likes Gaga but isn't a huge fan, or follow her or anything and she said it gave her "goosebumps".  It's a driving beat.
