I think what a lot of people don't realise is that this doesn't really sound like anything thats on the radio right now, the charts have been dominated with this progressive house/dance/electro-tropical music, everyone is doing it (from SIA, to Beiber) and I think its kinda boring because they all sound the same, but people seem to keep on loving it. People are afraid of "new" things, and while what shes doing isn't "new" - its a different sound from what people are used to hearing on the radio.

 Why do people want another Bad Romance? Where is the progression musically in that? If she kept on releasing songs that all sounded like they came from her first 2 albums people would get tired of her very quickly. To me, thats boring.

The songs only been released, what, 3 days? Its way too early to decide the impact of it.

It's not even about the 90K copies prediction. It's just the fact that this song is not for radio which will undoubtedly cause it to under-perform chart-wise.

It hasn't even been a week  she has an excellent thumbs up ratio on YouTube and critics really liked it. I think it could be a grower but a poor choice for a lead single imo, should have been single 3 or 4

Why do people feel the need to make a thread like this?? With that kind of attitude, it won't become a hit. Personally, I just want good music. If it does really well on the charts, then brava! But I'm not going to pull my hair out and scream bloody hell if it doesn't become a super-mega hit. 

Honestly, it's like you guys are more concerned with the charts than the actual song. Be f*cking happy that we have a new single! Rejoice! Like it or not, it's here. And if you're just going to unstan or complain about it's position on the charts, then please go ahead and stan another "more successful" artist. 

The song is one of her best in her entire career—be grateful she even continued to be in this industry. She's expressed before that she wanted to leave.

Perfect Illusion is not a hit record. It's fine because all that matters is if you as an individual like it. 

This is not the memory I have of it, but whatever. I also couldn't care less whether PI becomes a hit or not.

I cant believe I have to read this posts in a GAGA FORUM. It was released a couple of days ago, GIVE IT TIME, like really... look at Applause, it was a formidable hit. And I LOVED it in the first listen, more than Born this Way and Applause.

I want Gaga to be succesful too but can we all just enjoy the music and the fact that a new era is starting? Gosh
