Perfect Illusion remains as one of the most requested songs live on the German radio, the song isn't doing well on the iTunes Charts in Germany, and the VEVO link is blocked in that country. All you have to do it's going to this link and click 'Wünschen'. Go to your Google Chrome icognito tab, and vote countless times. LINK HERE

I still don't get it :laughga: What's their actual excuse to block it?

Google doesn't want to pay the GEMA the (insane) amount of money they want for each video that contains music (:saladga:), so the GEMA basically says: "You can't have any music unless you pay us".
And that means about 99% of videos that contain any sort of copyrighted music is blocked, even if it's barely to hear in the background.

They can't even agree in court and it's going on since 2009 I think.

The GEMA is there to pay the artists each time their music is used somewhere.
Which makes sense of course, but they charge way too much money everywhere, not just on YouTube.

I am still surprised we have Spotify around here :laughga:

It's one of the reasons artists have a hard time around here.

Yep, they are easy to watch anyway, because pretty much anyone has a proxy plugin for their browser :laughga:

They do nothing else than to unblock GEMA-blocked YouTube videos and work almost flawlessly.

But some labels do individual agreements with GEMA so their stuff is watchable on YT as well. Vevo seems to have a similar deal, since some videos hosted on Vevo channels are watchable.
