Quartz 12,534
It's easily digestible and have high replay value. That's it. Still salty that Closer got that number one instead of Roses though Inside, we are really made the same. š
Catalystluna56 2
No shade but have none of you been to a college party recently? Closer is the perfect party bop. You belt out the chorus/prechorus and then everyone just whips to the instrumental. No one could care less about the lyrics or what the song means. It's a song that you can sing to and dance to. Literally that simple.
Lady Palutena 3,147
Like many other users have stated: People in 2016 don't seem to care if a song tells a story, is intricately produced, or if itĀ comes from a deep place. TheyĀ want banal, repetitiveĀ nonsense;Ā stuff they can easily digest, songs that have no soul or no message. Also, Justin looks nice with brown hair but who is the girl? Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

It's very catchy and it makes you feel like you're at the beach. SychosSoChic 9,995
It's a delicious basic bitch song that sounds indie alternative so you feel hipster for liking it even though it's really just washed down pop music that reflects the shell that is pop music nowadays. *begrudgingly plays it on spotify because I'm not delusional, it's catchy af* Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.
