Unless Taylor did something horrendously awful to her, I don't think she would broadcast to the world that she never loved him and it was all a perfect illusion. That would make her a pretty sh!tty person and we all know she's not. My interpretation is that Gaga intends the song to be about the social media world and trying to find what's real among all the perfect illusions. I believe she has written the lyrics to sound like it's about a relationship because that's what most people can relate to. She did the same with The Edge of Glory. Lyrically it sounds like a simple love song between two lovers but of course we all know the true meaning of the song. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! You don't go around calling someone your soul mate and to root you on and then say that your love was never real. If really hurt that bad, why did she called him her soulmate? She hasn't name dropped him in interviews when she has been asked what the song is about, if she wanted to make headlines she could have said "Taylor had an affair".
