Alright, before you start on hating me for oppressing your right to freedom of expression, just hear me out. The more you say you hate or dislike it, the harder it is to retract from your original stance. The more people heard you, psychologically, the harder you would want to defend your decision. This will make you more stubborn even when you realize that you actually LIKE the song. When you say you hate something, you have to be absolutely SURE that you hate it. Take me for instance. When Born This Way was released, I HATED it with a passion. I told my friends, dragged it on GGD and spread my negative opinion on social media. A full month after the song was released, it just clicked but I tried to deny it. I was stubborn. I finally accepted the fact after maybe 3 months. By that time, I already missed the whole era and I just regret not being there to enjoy it with the whole fanbase. That's a magical time I will never get back. Again, be sure you hate it before you become vocal. To help you out, try numbers 2 and 3 before you state your hate 2) Memorize the lyrics and sing-along to the song in full. I also did not get Perfect Illusion until a while ago. I hated that it was repetitive. I hated that Gaga sang so loud. I hated that the lyrics were just two words. Then I tried something. I tried opening a new tab while Perfect Illusion was playing and read the lyrics. I tried singing along tentatively at first. At this point, I was starting to get it. Then when I had a confident grasp on the lyrics, I opened the instrumental version and I sang my heart out without Gaga. I f*cking felt it. Then lastly, I opened the original song again and sang loudly along with Gaga. It was magical to say the least Please try this in the shower. It works 3) Wait for the music video. If number 2 doesn't work, this will be the last thing I beg of you to do. Please just wait for the visuals. You'll know for sure that the music isn't your taste if even Gaga's visuals couldn't turn your views around. As I said, this will be better if you followed number 1 religiously. That's it! You now graduated the hate seminar for Perfect Illusion. I'm not ranting. I legitimately want to help the people who doesn't get it because, honestly, I LOVE it and I want to share this experience with you all. If you don't like it, I respect you and your opinion. All I'm asking for is that you give this woman we all love a chance. We waited three years for this and a little effort can go a long way. It's not an obvious hit and I know you want to like it as well. Peace bros! There are songs that do grow on you but it should usually take 2-3 listens for it to grow on you and not several days. That's just forcing yourself to like a song you wouldn't even bothering listening to if it wasn't Lady Gaga. People have different tastes and that's completely fine. If some people don't like PI, there are other songs for them to enjoy on the album. It is not our differences that divide us. Do you know how awful it must feel to not like it while the rest of the fanbase does?
