My "Perfect Illusion" Review

As you all know I was not a big fan of the single cover, so my expectactions for this song were "lowered".

And it blew me away. Like she always does.

For the song as a whole I think it's a combination of I Want Your Love and Swine (iTunes Festival). Really furious and 80s. The first few verses did not really blew me away upon first listening, it was meh. But then she hit that chorus and I could not handle it. It was so good. The rage wrapped in that beautiful production. The lyrics don't really stand out. There are some pretty good rhymes with "blow" and the second verse really made this song a banger. When she belts the "I still feel the blow
But at least now I know" line, I knew this was gonna good. The key change is superb, nothing like that in years and it really is special and well done. The outro was so 70s that I looked in my dad's closet for bell bottom jeans. 

I was not expecting any kind of major acclaim or success, but damn this song blew up really quick and fast (1,5m views for the AUDIO).

Perfect Illusion really is a grower, though, it gets better with each listening, it's magical. 

I will give it 9/10 points because I think its a little bit too repetitive and short, but a banger and it rocks my life.

Glad you like it! For me I thought of Russian roulette and kings of Leon when I first heard it. Its just so different and refreshing and I'm proud of Gaga for shaking up the game. PI is so striking and memorable that I really think it will gain massive success, which she deserves for touching on so many different genres.
