    • Calm down! It's too early to talk about that! Let's wait for the whole album ('LG5')!

Not The Real Gaga

Today, Lady Gaga released her brand new single "Perfect Illusion". Fans had to wait almost three years for Mother Monster's next lead single!

With the arrival of "Perfect Illusion" earlier today, a new era started. Her previous album "ARTPOP" wasn't a big smash success, dividing the fan base more than ever. Now, with here new rock/pop record, Gaga seems to the same thing again. Not everybody seems to enjoy Gaga's new hit "Perfect Illusion", which receives more than expected negative commentary on social media and music streaming sites, like YouTube. Some disappointed Gaga-fans say that "Perfect Illusion isn't the song they hoped for." Meanwhile, the General Public ('GP') seems to like this whole new concept a lot more, while "Perfect Illusion" gets enough critical acclaim.

So, the main question of this topic is: Do you think that we - as a fan base - have to deal with another "ARTPOP"-era. An era wherein we will become even more divided than ever. There are a lot of different opinions about "Perfect Illusion", so it may not so much bonding us together as I hoped and expected, honestly. Will we - Little Monsters - stay together? Or do we need to say goodbye to a lot of Monster-friends?

Love you!

a song is NEVER gonna be loved by everyone... let those who hate it go, who cares

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

This era will purge all the fake fans and bring new fans, I'm sure it will be a lot more successful because Gaga doesn't care about fake fans anymore, charts and all that bull. I'm confident in her success this time and the music is brilliant!!

Didn't experience the BTW-era that conscious. I just popped out my Little Monster-egg in that period.

It was exactly like now, some people loved the song and other people hated the song, mostly because of the lyrics, while the rest of the world was slayed, lol. With Applause there was much more of a consensus that it is generic AF.
