Hopefully the fact that it's the complete opposite to all the 'trendy' music nowadays will work in it's favour, we could have another game-changing Gaga moment. I actually like some of the generic and 'easy on the ears' songs out there right now, they're catchy and good to bop to, but they do lack a certain passion and energy and Perfect Illusion is definitely the antidote to that. I mean when you hear what's currently number one and then hear PI...it's worlds apart and blows it out of the water just with it's sheer energy. Whether people respond to that is a different story. The great thing is that I personally love it so I'm happy whatever, I would love for her to have a huge hit again for her sake. The pop music scene 100% needed a shake up and she delivered that.
