I don't think it's inaccurate, and it's similar to the constructive criticism given by Perez. I feel that the song is the most listenable during the verses. The chorus is a bit much, and unrelenting. As a songwriter & vocalist myself, I came to the realization that people want music that they can listen to and not be overwhelmed by. This is a song that overwhelms the listener, especially the choruses. I really feel like her big problem in this song is over-singing... It could have used a longer breakdown in the song, and honestly, the key change is not winning awards either. Anyway, at the moment, I'm fairly neutral about the song. Not in love. Don't hate it. Sadly sort of ambivalent. As a songwriter & vocalist myself, I agree with you

KingRedd 3,139
Basically because the the song wasnt heavy electro pop like always, it's bad.... So had it sounded like everything else on the radio, it would be good? It's raw and not supposed to be a Donna Summer anthem lmao. And the writer really tried to shade her performances while Rihanna, Katy and Britney barely get through their own songs let alone a cover of iconic ones. Lmao I guess anyone can become a music critic nowadays May I Read You? 😎
ChicaSkas 23,337
I think we can all agree that 3 minutes is too short. It deserves to be properly wound down to a finish. Sadly sort of ambivalent. Technically I agree. It's fast and hard to process and in your face which is why you need to listen to it a few times before it becomes less offensive. However I think from Gaga her point of view I think she was going for that broken lover thing. The Perfect Illusion repetition being the WHY, WHY, WHY question you ask when hurt. She is going for that emotional connection in a raw way. There are certain parts where the production could be a bit better, like the drum build up to the key change. I wish it was a bit more prominent. The but now I know before ther is also mat and sounds like it comes from a 128 demo. But in the right mood if you hurt and broken this will grab you and you will want to smash glasses around pumped up from this song and then break down crying. Yes, well Gaga definitely thrives on cathartic music that is very intense and passionate. Guaranteed her lovemaking is even more passionate & intense......... IllumiMark 974
I am so tired of people wanting Bad Romance 2.0 or Poker Face 2.0. I think Gaga as an artist is free to evolve artistically as she likes. So, the guy is bothered by Gaga's raw vocals?
