Scheiße performance is a bit of a let down tbh. It's such an epic song, and the production value is just meh live. Where's the interesting lighting? Props? Pyro? Use of the castle?

The choreo is pretty great though, and I liked the bit in the dark with the strobes.

Wow after watching that I'm really underwhelmed... The monster ball had a giant ****ing angler fish monster, a living dress, a whole storyline, interludes, props and costumes everywhere. Not seeing much going on at all and the era had so much great imagery to use.

Just because the subject, storyline and even some of the imagery aren't in-your-face obvious doesn't mean it doesn't have them The aesthetics of the castle and the light look magnificent so far... and conceptually there is definitely a breath-taking storyline but you'll have to use your own head and think instead of waiting for her to spell it all out for you literally. That's not how this works. If you hadn't noticed, over the past year and a half Gaga's work has become immensely more conceptual, metaphysical and subtly metaphorical. "THE FAME MONSTER IS GOING TO EAT ME!" is a memento of the past.

Our Gaga has long since evolved in all respects.This is art, bb, and it requires you to interact and engage your mind instead of being a passive bystander.

Oh, and agreed with Hauser and unicorn lover: People are complaining already? Wth. :rollsweat:

she needs to improve vocals, the lighting sucks, the song is not as big as it needs to be, the costumes are normal, well maybe cuz they were filmed in a 40$ camera with ****ty quality, some ppl are dumb tbh

If this is true I have far less respect for her, she should have been rehearsing for months. You don't rehearse two weeks before an 'epic' tour. Shes been working on this a year + and its not 'great'. It needs work. I haven't personally looked at one thing I found amazing in this tour so far, besides the castle set. The hair, I hate. The costumes are TERRIBLE. I look forward to seeing the bloody mary one...I think its that tragic Armani plastic bag thing though. The costumes don't fit the set. The Just Dance performance was terrible to me. I just think it needs work. But then again, TMB sucked at first too. Just not this bad. In fact, I look back on the first MB and love it. I know that wont happen with this bec theres nothing to love. Theres no DETAIL anywhere. thats whats missing. no intricate steps with syringes..nothing to notice it seems. but then again...we have ****ty vids so far lol. I just cant look at that hair, I hate it. I expected something more elegant and grand I think...not eyeliner and pigtails.

Richy Jackson's choreography is AWESOME. I shouldn't have doubted him. I am so glad he took over the rest of the album cause Its SO much better than the stuff LAG was doing for BTW.

The choreo is EVERYTHING. The vocals are................... really not.

To be fair (if you only mean Scheisse and not the whole show), it's the third to last song. Most performers aren't sounding their best near the end of an hour and a half concert.

And I think I just noticed what's the main flaw in the first ( and I hope last :ohno ) BTW Ball show. It's the lame light effects! I mean they're so boring! They only use more than 2 colors while Gaga is performing Electric Chapel. All other performances - dark blue or red. They need more pyrotechnics, smoke/fog or how do you call it. The light effects could fill in all the empty space in that stage! I mean there's OK a big castle. And that's it. That's awesome of course but that's it. The only decoration. And some colors on the castle's walls because of the lights. That's it. Boring. I need more lights, effects and etc.!

I stage looks nice, but I'm underwhelmed. I don't like any of the outfits and everything just seems really dull. What made the monster ball iconic was the interludes - they defined the show. The art and creativity that went into them was unmatched by anything else Gaga has ever done. Nothing in this show seems to hold a candle to the monster ball.

The Born This Way ball seems unfinished. She's had a year to put this show together. The outfits are dull, and she doesn't take command of the stage. It just seems like with every passing thing she does without Dada, it is apparent that he is the reason for many of her iconic things such as the disco stick + the angler fish. Nothing about this show is iconic. There's no angler fish, no interludes, no real sense of creativity. The stage is nice and all, but any artist could have done that.

Maybe it'll grow on me, but I'm really disappointed. Some serious changes are going to need to be made to this show. When TMB2.0 had its debut in Manchester, even with it's issues, it was amazing. And what happened to the songs that she spoke of that would be performed during the tour? When BTW was released she said that she left songs off of the album to perform live at the show.

Another thing this show lacks is a story. The story within the monsterball made it so cool, but with this it's just her singing songs.

I don't know. Other than the Judas video and BTW album, I've felt really underwhelmed with everything Gaga has done over the last year. It just doesn't have that eccentric quirkiness that it used to.

EDIT: The intro is also dull. When watching it, I didn't feel excited at all. The countdown video is one of the defining moments of my teenage years. I can't even think about it without feeling goosebumps. In 20 years I'll still remember the excitement I had for that - the audio, the visuals, the jumping and spinning, the numbers. This is just some noise and gaga arriving on a horse.

I feel the same way. I was expecting something much bigger than the monster ball but it seems so far that isn't the case. The setlist seems random and it seems like the props are just meh. Like props she would use during TMB 1.0. The stage production/lighting NEEDS a lot of work too. It just seems so dull at the moment. Really hoping that in time everyting will be improved because after all, this was only the first show.
