androiduser 7,438
I would say that her peak was during the Monster Ball tour... Right now more people are aware of her talent, especially as a vocalist, but I think that the majority of people still don't know she has a new song coming out

That makes a lot of sense. 🤖⚡️

What I mean is that in order to know what she's been up to (a.k.a. that she went from pop to jazz to AHS etc), you need to be interested in her in the first place, which none of the people you seem to be talking about were. So the only people who collectively know what she's been up to are us. I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time. En_Sabah_Nur 9,359
Bad Romance was her peak! I remember a time where people said she was cool... Hard to get that same mass response nowadays... Hopefully that'll change with this "NEW" Era!!! Egypt. W

You're wrong if you think that the Super Bowl, Oscars x2, Emmys, AHS, and Jazz era weren't enough to convince the GP that Gaga is talented. Seriously, all of these things combined have had serious impact. Most people here agree that the GP is HERE for her, because she did all of these things and proved herself after ARTPOP. Obviously the GP isn't watching her every move - but they don't have to be to notice her talent. This is why PI has potential that Applause never had. 🤖⚡️

You are on a Gaga-stan website, of course they would think that! They thought G.U.Y. was gonna appeal to the GP for crying out loud. Anyway, I've proven my point, you've proven your point. Nailed it. -Mark
ThatBoyKaley 4
I believe that she and the GP needed some time off of her being on the charts or something. I mean, she was everywhere. I can believe that it was a bit annoying to some people to constantly hear her name. I think it was good that she used the time to embrace her other abilities so that people take her more seriously (this reminds me of an interview with her [I think it was that 60 minutes report] where she said: "people take me too seriously and not seriously enough"). I hope that's going to change! YAAAS
PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
Yes. GP loved TF/M gaga. Everyone did. That's why literally everyone who isn't a Stan says they miss 2009 gaga or bad Romance gaga. She hadn't started isolating people then Edit: I can't at yall thinking the oscars/superbowl/grammys/ahs made an impact! Aside from the praise of the SB, gaga didn't garner much from the rest. Aside from a few people on YouTube saying the grammys showcased her vocals, has anyone really cared about the rest? No? If they did, TIHTY and the give me all your love cover would have sold. Spare me that they didn't sell because they were for a movie (uh hello, my heart will go on was for a movie and was huge!!!!) or that the other was a cover (her jazz cover album sold more than her pop album) it's just the GP was not here for her! They might not be! It literally depends on how good the single is. That's it! Nothing else! Clearly Katy Perry proves the GP doesn't care about vocal talent, clearly ariana proves they don't care about stunning visuals, and madonna proves they don't care about legacy! The GP is eating up closer, because it's relatable, and an easy listen, and doesn't require too much! PI needs to deliver if it's going to be a smash, otherwise, we're looking at a top 20 hit. PunkTheFunk 124,425
Back in 2009/10 I remember (despite her massive success) people writing her off as "that crazy pa-pa-pa-poker face woman in the meat dress...and she's got a penis!!" People (including me very early on) thought she didn't have any talent, which was why she hid behind the 'costumes' After the C2C era/Sound of Music medley/Oscar Nomination/Golden Globe Win/Superbowl Anthem, you can't call her talentless anymore without plenty of people coming to her defence. She might still be criticized for how she looks and carries herself but no one can deny her talent. The circumstances are very different this era and I'm here for it
Sheena 92
She rebranded her image successfully. People no longer remember her embarrassing antics and failures. And I also think she won't be pulling any embarrassing gimmicks or crazy stunts or outfits anymore, because she knows that she has to be very careful with her image now. Plus I just think she grew out of doing stuff like that in general. She's coming to just be a respected and acclaimed musician and I respect her for that.
