Young Pancake 693
People like you irritate me so we as individuals don't have the right to change our minds in a natural way? Okay, there are people who say one thing one day and then contradict themselves the next one, but Gaga didn't do that. For her it was a process of growth and learning from experiences. Of course she is going to change not only mentally but physically as well.
ryhanna 3,507
I feel like she just says things that fit her ideals at the time but don't necessarily later on. Like, back then she was largely defined by her outfits and I suppose felt the need to justify them. They were a part of who she was at the time, what she wanted her public persona to be seen as. A few years down the track, and she's still the same person, but she's older and wiser and more mature. That craziness is still a part of her, but there are new creative elements in her life that she's discovered and has the confidence to explore them whilst letting go of the things that previously defined her. REALITY 76,778
She's not entirely the same person as she was in 2008, but she's still Gaga. She may be hypocritical, but that just means that she's grown and has had new experiences. She's been in the industry for almost a decade now, you can't tell me that some of her philosophy hasn't changed. And yes, I know, I know. This argument/point of view has been argued already, but it's just the truth. She's changed, yes, but if anything, the "Gaga you got in the beginning" was probably "more fake" than the Gaga we have know. I'm not talking physical appearance, because those change all the time, however, the person she is today is probably much more genuine and much more authentic than the person we got 8 years ago. The more "casual" type clothing, the more rocker-esque vibe that we're getting, heck, even back in 2014 with C2C is who she is. Remember, she's stated that she use to use costumes/outfits to mask and hide her pain. Plus, from a marketing/business perspective. She was ahead of the times with fashion, and that was her brand. Of course she's going to say that she loved her outfits—not saying that she doesn't she obviously does. It's honestly pointless to compare her then and now, because she'll always change. She'll always evolve. Spoiler Side note, Born This Way was really emphaizing who you are. Yeah, while she did touch on physical appearance and whatnot, the album and the meaning behind it wasn't to view someone from a physical standpoint necessarily, but to say "This is who I f*cking am. Deal with it, or leave." 𝔊𝔬𝔬𝔡𝔟𝔶𝔢, ℑ'𝔩𝔩 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔦𝔫 𝔪𝔶 𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔪𝔰
