having backing track to support =/= lipsyncing

she's used live autotune though

It's not the same, but just as bad if the backing tracks are so loud that you can't hear the live vocals. Then you might as well do the lip-sync.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

Sexxx dreama chours at itunes festival.

That was just a loud backing track and the fact when she sings it live she sings the lead vocals in the track which are a low tone. The high tone which is the loudest in the album track is actually the backing vocals (poor mastering basically)

you've probably heard this one which is fake :emma:

I'm obsessed with how she uses a handheld mic in this performance and does the half arm choreography and half heart thing I don't know why I love that concept so much

Idk if this is backtrack but I feel like this was lip synced from 0:13-0:24. I feel so bad for her anytime she's sick on stage :( don't watch if you have a weak stomach for puke videos.

That's not lip-sync! + it's understandable seen how intense some parts of BTWB were. And the sequence at the piano... c'mon.

No one is saying she can't sing or that she doesn't have an amazing voice. But yes, eventually there was a time she used to rely too much on those called backing vocals.

TRUE she used it at the 2009 vmas for paparazzi and at the AMAS for speechless/bad romance. i remember her saying (about the AMAS) that she was mad she had to use live autotune. i bet its cause back then she had less control of her career and they didnt trust her to perform without it

i actually personally loved the sound of the autotune on her voice at the AMAs especially during speechless

I feel every artist has lipsynced at some point in their career, so I'm not really bothered. :laughga: Some shows force you to do it if you perform.

The "I'M ON THE EDGE WITH YOU" during the bridge is part of the backing track. Gaga never sings or even moves her mouth during that part on live performances. Really sucks that she had to vomit during that part and everyone was like "OMG LIPSYNC!", same for when she once tripped during the Poker Face bridge on the Monster Ball tour.

I don't know of any times where Gaga outright lip-synced, but there have been plenty of times where she relies on the backup vocals from the studio version and they drown her out. There was also the very first Monster Ball 2.0 show in London where the sound crew appeared to have problems with the Telephone track. Gaga gave them the cue but then there was an awkwardly long pause waiting for the music to start and then the exact studio version played with full vocals and you couldn't hear Gaga singing at all.
