bumblebee 2,528 Posted September 7, 2016 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I love Applause the most (so far), althought it's that after Applause single release that I've noticed the sudden changes in the whole community and on this forum in particular. I think Applause showcased her as both, a pop star and a smart artist who is able to deliver the self-commentary and art-commentary music without a damage done to the aesthetics of her work. While Born This Way was darker, more political and socially-oriented, Applause linked Gaga with the world of art where she clearly belongs, and everything was executed in an elegant manner. I closely followed the ARTPOP era, and I enjoyed the Cheek To Cheek era (even though a lot of Monsters don't) I believe it saved her and her career so it will always be special to me, as much as people think it's a joke or it wasn't as important as people think.
